Recapping our Spring Product Showcase with Allen & Heath, QSC, Shure, and more!  On Thursday, April 19th HWPco and Peachstate Audio presented the Spring Product Showcase. The event was educational and hands-on featuring a masterclass in   Allen & Heath   mixing led by Kevin Madden.  The event was a full house, with plenty of folks arriving early to get some hands-on time with the consoles prior to the session. First up, Kevin Madden gave an overview of the Allen & Heath product offerings, as well as the history of the company and how the technology has progressed.  After the overview, Kevin had the attendees gather around the three consoles to practice with some hands-on time. The three consoles, two D-Live 5500 and one   D-Live 3500 , provided a unique opportunity for the entire class to follow along real time.  After an hour of time with the consoles, the lesson concluded and attendees broke for lunch. North Gwinnett High School is located in Suwanee, GA and is less than a mile away from the office. After an intense, bitterly cold game was played they proved triumphant and won the football game over Colquitt County. There is a stronger connection than distance between Peachtate Audio and North Gwinnett. Multiple employees attended the school and played on athletic teams at North Gwinnett. Mike O'Rouke, President of Peachstate Audio and NG Alumnus, has served as a community coach for the football team for the last 10 years. LIGHTING Starting off with one of the most exciting lighting items we saw is the  Chauvet Professional  new follow spot 260 watt LED Engine, the Ovation SP-300CW. Ovation SP-300CW is a quiet, medium throw LED powered follow spot that projects a crisp cool white beam. On Wednesday, September 20th we hosted MUS!C Group at our facility in Sugar Hill, GA. While the MUS!C Group family has a large portfolio of brands, the event focused on Turbosound loudspeakers, MIDAS consoles, Klark-Teknik processors, and Lab.gruppen amplifiers.  Lloyd Kinkade, Senior Sales Manager for East Coast, kicked off the event with Turbosound Loudspeakers. First up was the  iQ12 Loudspeaker , a powered two-way loudspeaker ideally suited for a wide range of portable and fixed installation, music and speech sound reinforcement applications paired with the  NuQ115b Subwoofer . Next up was one of the newer models from the Euro Series, the  Berlin TBV123  paired with the  iQ18b  Subwoofer. On April 20th, 2017 Elation and Chauvet Lighting converged at Peachstate Audio to present the Spring Lighting Seminar. The purpose of the event was to educate customers on current product offerings, as well as give best practices for their usage.  First up was Dwight Slamp from Chauvet. He demonstrated the following products, as well as some ideal scenarios when they could be used: Ovation series of ellipsoidals and fresnels, Colorado Solo 1, 2, 3 zoomable wash pars, Rogue series of intelligent lighting, Maverick series of intelligent lighting, and Slimpar Pro wash pars. Next up, Rick Valero of Freed Sales presented the ADJ 3.9 Video Wall. On Thursday, March 16, 2017 Peachstate Audio hosted a Microphone Showcase at their location in Sugar Hill, GA. There was a wide representation of microphones with many manufacturers present, including Sennheiser, Shure, Audio-Technica, Audix, Galaxy, AKG, Electro-Voice, Airwave Technologies, TOA, Clock Audio, and CAD Audio. In the morning, customers browsed through products and were able to get hands-on time with all of the products and ask manufacturers questions. In addition to the manufacturer tables, there was also a “People’s Choice” table that had wired microphones from manufacturers in three different price categories. These categories were: $0-199, $200-399, $400 & up. The only parameters for the microphones were to be wired and fit within a price category, so customers were able to get hands-on time with many different types of categories at our listening station.
