Peachstate Audio 40th Anniversary Digital Console ShowcaseOctober 13, 2016
On Thursday, October 13th ten industry leading manufacturers showcased some of the latest and greatest digital consoles. Throughout the day the customers had the chance to speak with manufacturers and get hands-on time with the equipment. Yamaha brought their newly launched TF Rack which was one of the first times it was showcased in the country. Another new launch our customers were able to learn about was the StudioLive Series III 32 from PreSonus. This will include 40 input channels with motorized, touch-sensitive faders, new Fat Channel processing, vintage-style EQs and compressors and onboard multitrack recording. The Midas M32 and Behringer X32 were also at the event and customers were able to see the newly updated firmware first-hand.
In addition to new product launches, the digital consoles present offered a wide range of applications and uses. Avid is one of the most approved console lines for professional riders. This means that if you own an Avid console it's highly probable that any artist or church will accept the console for a rental or for an incoming artist. Soundcraft also showed off models from their “Vi” and “Si” series, both having a very analog “feel” to operation even though it is a digital console. The Waves LV1 System also had a good response with its Plug-in based live sound console. The Allen & Heath D-Live showcased an easy workflow and very large touchscreens, resulting in a user friendly console that is still powerful. The Roland M-5000 has "Configurable Architecture" which is the console's ability to adapt to the application - allowing you to "build" the mixer you need with input channels, auxiliary buses, groups, etc.
Below is a list of all of equipment that was showcased. If you have any questions about the items please don't hesitate to contact us!
